Born and raised in Missouri, Dr. Taylor moved to Las Vegas in 1981, after graduating from the University Of Missouri College Of Veterinary Medicine. Since then, he has earned a strong reputation among his clients and peers for providing compassionate, detail-oriented care of both patient and client. Dr. Taylor is qualified to perform a variety of specialized surgeries, including orthopedic and soft tissue repair, and he regularly receives referrals from other veterinarians for his surgical skills and specialty procedures. He was also recognized as the Best Veterinarian in Las Vegas in the Las Vegas Review Journal’s Best of Las Vegas Publisher’s Picks, 1999 – the only year animal care was included.
Dr. Taylor has been the owner and lead veterinarian for Mountain Vista Animal Hospital since 1987. He has been licensed by the Nevada State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners for over thirty years, and has been practicing veterinary medicine at Mountain Vista Animal Hospital since 1982. Dr. Taylor is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, and in 1991, he became certified as a Diplomat with the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. In 2002, Nevada Governor Kenny Guinn appointed Dr. Taylor to the Nevada State Board of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Taylor’s outside interests include photography, outdoor adventures, traveling, and hiking. Dr. Taylor enjoys keeping fit, and he has participated in several obstacles challenges, including the Tough Mudder, Super Spartan Race, and Camp Rhino Moonlight Madness Obstacle Challenge. He and his wife, Danielle, share their lives with their cat Marco, and their dogs:Murphy, Roxie and Ruby. Together, Dr. Taylor and his wife proudly volunteer considerable time and resources with Comfort Zone Camp, the nation’s largest bereavement camp for children.
